- Is there supervision the whole time?
Yes, there is supervision 24/7. We have dorm room checks every night at "lights out" and the counselors are monitoring rooms and hallways throughout the night. There is supervision on the courts and during all free time. Every parent has the director's cell phone number so they can get in touch with us at any time.
- Will my child need extra money?
The price of camp includes everything. However, we do offer a camp store that sells Aggie Tennis Camp gear, snacks, drinks, racket restringing, etc. For campers wishing to take advantage of this, they can pay by cash or set up a camp bank with a parent's credit card. Campers that choose this option usually put in around $50. Camp bank information will be sent in the registration packet.
- How are the campers grouped?
Before the camp starts, we look up every camper by their USTA results and take information that was given during registration. We use this information to place them in tentative groups. On Sunday, we evaluate every child and make necessary changes to the tentative grouping based on what we see during evaluations.
- What if my child gets sick or injured at camp?
If this happens, we treat them as if they are our own children. We have the parent's insurance information on file. We also have a trainer that stays in the dorm to take care of the kids and is available day and night if needed. If an emergency arises, we take them to a 24-hr. clinic or the emergency room. Of course, parents will be notified if their child is sick or hurt. We work with you to determine the best possible option for care.
